Our Libraries Are Open Again!
We are excited to announce that we have reopened our libraries to in-person visits starting Tuesday, Feb. 16.
You can once again be able to browse the shelves, access computer stations, read the newspaper, or pick out a DVD at your community library.
Gov. Jay Inslee has moved most of the state — including all five counties in the library district — into Phase 2 of the state’s reopening plan, which allows public libraries to open..
Several safety measures are already in place in the libraries. Customers will be required to wear a mask, practice social distancing, and limit their visit to around thirty minutes. In accordance with state mandated guidelines, all of the library buildings will have a 25 percent occupancy limit.
If you prefer minimal contact service, curbside pickup will continue to be offered at all branches. We are also working to expand service hours and availability, which we plan to launch in March.
We will continue to offer a wide variety of resources and programs online at ncwlibraries.org and on our Facebook page. Upcoming virtual programs include STEM workshops, Book-It-Theater performances, author visits, and more.
