Banned Books Week is an annual event observed by librarians, educators, authors, publishers, booksellers, and readers that highlights the value of free and open access to information.
Banned Books Week is supported by a coalition of organizations dedicated to free expression, including the American Library Association, American Society of Journalists and Authors, Authors Guild, Children’s Book Council, Freedom to Read Foundation, National Book Foundation, and more.
The American Library Association each year releases its Top 10 Most Challenged Books list. We have most of the books on the 2024 list in our collection available for checkout.
