Our Community Bookmobile is hitting the road with a fresh summer schedule and exciting new stops around Chelan, Douglas, and Grant counties.

This pop-up library on wheels brings books, movies, audiobooks, crafts, and fun wherever it parks. Visitors can sign up for a library card, enjoy free Wi-Fi, join the Summer Library Program, and dive into summer activities for all ages.

“Our goal for the Bookmobile is always to reach people where they are and to connect people with the books and resources they want,” said Bookmobile Lead Elizabeth McNall. “Letting people know that the library is for them, no matter what their circumstances are, is one of the most rewarding parts of working on the Bookmobile.”

The NCW Libraries Bookmobile staff travel Chelan, Douglas, and Grant County to provide services to children, seniors, and people who live in rural, affordable housing sites. They make regular stops to a day center for adults with developmental disabilities, a Job Corps site, and a home for people undergoing cancer treatment. The new stops were added to reach library patrons who have limited or no access to the library, bringing valuable library resources to underserved communities, creating spaces for learning, imagination, and creativity.
