Let’s celebrate!

Help us honor the valuable role that library spaces and staff play in transforming lives and strengthening communities across the district’s 5 county region by visiting your local library!

April 3-9, 2022, is National Library Week (NLW), a time to highlight the essential role libraries, librarians, and library staff play in transforming lives and strengthening communities. NLW is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries of all types across the country every April.

“Connect with Your Library” is the theme for NLW 2022. Join the celebration by checking out our blog and social media pages throughout the first week of April. On April 4, we will be highlighting the ALA’s list of most challenged books in 2021. On April 5, help us honor our staff on National Library Worker Day. On April 6, discover more about NCW Libraries various outreach services during National Library Outreach Day. On April 7, learn more about the commitment of our Board of Trustees and Friends of the Library Groups for Take Action for Libraries Day.

The NCW Libraries staff is the heartbeat of our organization. Their passion and love for providing excellent library service, building connections, and fostering community inspires my work every single day and has a huge impact on our region. Help us celebrate them by visiting your local library to say hi this week and sharing what you love about the library on social media during National Library Week.

Happy Reading!
