Blood pressure monitor kits are available for checkout from the library!
The kits, made possible through a partnership between NCW Libraries and Action Health Partners, are designed for self-monitoring of blood pressure.
Blood pressure is the measure of how hard blood pushes against the walls of arteries as it moves through the body. High blood pressure strains the heart and can lead to serious health problems such as heart attack, stroke and even death if left untreated.
Each library kit contains an automatic blood pressure monitor, instructions how to take your blood pressure, and educational materials explaining what the numbers mean and more! The kits are not meant for diagnostic or emergency use, and library staff cannot provide medical advice.
