Beginning on March 3, you will automatically get more time with your library materials!
Once your book, movie, or other checked-out item reaches its due date, it will be renewed automatically for you. No need to log into your account or remember to renew books, DVDs, or other physical items borrowed from NCW Libraries, simply enjoy more time with the library items you’ve selected.
You can now automatically keep all eligible items for up to two additional full loan periods.
The renewal will not apply to items in the Lucky Day Collection, are on loan from another library district, or that have been requested by another library patron.
Why did NCW Libraries make this change?
Improved patron experience! Many people may find it challenging to return or renew materials on time. It is especially helpful to patrons with limited technology skills or access. Others who will benefit are people in assisted living facilities, patrons living in isolated areas, children and young adults, working families, and people who travel frequently. This change directly supports our second Strategic Direction: Mejorar la experiencia del cliente.
