Join us in January for our three-part miniseries Reboot + Refresh with Mindfulness.
With stress levels running high for so many, this series offers an accessible way to explore mindfulness, discover new stress-management tools, and find a bit more calm. It’s also a wonderful way to kick off the new year with intention.
The series will be facilitated by Kari Lyons-Price of Meditate Wenatchee. Kari is a certified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction instructor and holds a Master of Social Work. She teaches mindfulness programs throughout the greater Wenatchee area and is excited to offer a condensed version of her longer series at the library for the first time.
Attend one session or sign up for all three.
Session 1: Pause & Connect to Your Body
Jan. 20, 6 p.m.
Learn to answer the question, “where is my attention now?” What do I feel and where do I feel it?” Most of us don’t live in the now—instead planning, worrying, and living in the future or the past. Pausing and noticing feelings in the body, we help ourselves to refresh and be here now.
Session 2: Practice Curiosity
Jan 27th, 6 PM
Stress and curiosity can’t exist together. Let’s practice curiosity in the present moment of our lives, so we can get out of chronic stress mode, and have more peace and less pain. A true reboot for a fresh start to the New Year!
Session 3: Allow & Care
Feb 3rd at 6 PM
We will learn how to put down the fear and the fight and allow what is happening to be seen and heard. It’s here we can shift out of stress habits and refresh our muscles of compassion, clear thinking and loving-kindness.
Kari has been facilitating special events and groups for 20 years on caregiver support, generalized mental health, traumatic grief, women’s spirituality, and Mindfulness-meditation. She is a strong believer in the power of group learning, shared experience & community building.
