Why do we crave creativity? As it turns out, creativity is pretty important for our brains, health, and wellbeing. Creativity reduces anxiety, depression, and isolation — who hasn’t been dealing with that this year?! When we get into a “state of flow,” becoming totally absorbed in an activity (such as coloring), all kinds of good things are happening. Our heart rate slows, our immune system is boosted, and our mood is uplifted. Another bonus – engaging in creativity makes us smarter!
