Teens have the opportunity to showcase their art in two contests now underway through the library!

Mail Order Catalog cover art

Our mail order catalog is turning 50 this year, and we are holding art contests to design the covers of the three catalogs that will be published this
year. The 48-page catalogs are delivered to thousands of homes in our five-county library district and offer a sampling of the books, audiobooks, and
DVDs that we have in our collection.

We are currently seeking artwork from teens, aged 13-19, who live in Chelan, Douglas, Ferry, Grant and Okanogan counties.

The artwork must be turned in by March 2.

The winning artist will have their art published on the cover of one of our catalogs — and receive a Kindle Fire HD6.

Teen video challenge

The Washington State Library is currently holding a state-wide contest for teenage videographers. Teens aged 13-18 can create a 30- to 90-second video
with their unique interpretation of the theme “Libraries Rock!”.

Please let your teens know about these great opportunities to showcase their talent and creativity!
