The wait is over, Methow Valley — the Twisp Library reopens on Tuesday, June 16!
After a four-month closure to support a major building improvement project at the Methow Valley Community Center (MVCC), the library has been unpacked, reshelved, and refreshed, and we can’t wait to welcome you back.
What changed while we were closed?
The MVCC completed a series of energy-efficiency and comfort upgrades to the building, including:
- New HVAC systems for more comfortable heating and cooling year-round
- Upgraded internet service and electrical systems
- New insulation in exterior walls
These improvements were led by the MVCC and supported through grant funding. While the work wasn’t always visible from the outside, you’ll feel the difference — a building that’s more comfortable, more efficient, and better equipped to serve the Methow Valley for years to come.
What this means for patrons
- Reopening Day: Tuesday, June 16 — regular hours resume
- Your home library is switching back. If your home library was temporarily set to Winthrop during the closure, it will return to Twisp, and new holds will once again be available for pickup in Twisp.
- The drop box is back in service. Items may be returned at the Twisp Library once we reopen.
