The Wenatchee Public Library is hosting a Grand Re-Opening celebration on Thursday, June 20th.
The celebrations will include activities throughout the day and a reception from 12-1PM with refreshments and tours of the new community meeting spaces.
This event marks the culmination of a nearly 10-year effort started by the Friends of the Wenatchee Library in 2015 when they launched a capital campaign to revitalize the library. The Friends raised nearly $1.4 million from local donors, businesses, and grant funding. NCW Libraries, the City of Wenatchee, and the Department of Commerce also contributed to funding the project.
The refresh was completed in two phases, the first beginning in 2019 and ending in 2020. The second phase construction began earlier this year and ended this month.
