Let’s celebrate the Grand Opening of the new Winthrop Public Library building on Saturday, June 11!

The Friends of the Winthrop Library (FOWL) led the effort to fund and build the new library in partnership with over 1,000 supporters, the Town of Winthrop, NCW Libraries, and taxpayers of Washington State.

Grand Opening Day will feature a full line up of festivities hosted by FOWL. Learn more on FOWL’s event page.

10:30AM Coffee, Mingling, and Music

11AM Opening Ceremony

12PM Library Doors Open
Explore the new library! Meet our staff, sign up for a free library card, and access tons of resources for reading, learning, and fun! Meet the artists and architects who designed the building.

Enjoy the Methow Valley Quilters Quilt Show of book themed quilts. Quilts will be displayed throughout opening week with an online auction, benefitting FOWL, opening June 8 and running through June 18. Learn More.
