Spring break at many of our library branches next month will feature medieval knights, a theater production and ukulele lessons. Two libraries will also be offering virtual reality demonstrations.

Here’s a lineup of programs scheduled at the libraries:

Book-It Repertory Theatre presents New Shoes

In this live theatrical performance based on the picture book by Susan Lynn Meyer, Ella Mae and her mother visit a shoe store to buy a new pair of shoes
only to be turned away because she is black. Determined to fight back, Ella Mae and her friends collect and restore old shoes and then hold their own
shoe sale, giving African American members of their community a place where they can be treated fairly and buy shoes.
