Washington State is the home of many authors. Fiction, nonfiction, and memoirs! Books for adults, children, and young adults!

Although our libraries are closed right, you can still explore our state’s rich literary offerings through our free online resources Hoopla and Overdrive. With your library card, you can download ebooks and audiobooks today!

We have our own published authors in-house at North Central Regional Library. Though their books aren’t available on Hoopla or Overdrive, when our libraries reopen we invite you to check out one of their books as well. Oroville Librarian Heather Ayris Burnell has published six children’s books and our recently retired Winthrop Librarian Sally Portman has written books on the Methow Valley.

Check out this list of books by Washington authors that are available for download and find a few that are right for you!
