While our libraries are closed down for the next six week, we encourage you to use our Mail Order Library, which will deliver library materials straight to your mailbox — at no cost to you!
Never used our Mail Order Library? No problem! This service is available to anyone with an NCRL library card who lives or owns property in our service area.
What’s available through the Mail Order Library?
Books, audiobooks, music CDs, DVDs, and more! If it’s available in our online catalog, it can be delivered to you.
How do I order material through Mail Order?
While you’re on our website, search for the title of the book or the author in the search bar. If you simply want to browse, click on Books, Movies & Music and look through the most recent additions to our collection.
When you place the hold, make sure to choose “Mailorder Library” as the pickup location.
Then click Confirm Hold. When the item is available, it will be mailed to you.
How do I return Mail Order Library material?
Simply return the items by mail in the bag they arrived in. To do that:
- Place the provided return label on the outside of the bag, directly over the top of the mailing label.
- Place the item back in the mail bag and seal it.
- Put the bag in your mailbox or take it to the post office or any UPS store to be returned to the library.
How do I get a copy of the printed Mail Order catalog?
The printed catalog is automatically distributed to all rural addresses.
Who can use the service?
Our Mail Order Library is available to anyone who has a library card and lives or owns property in Chelan, Douglas, Ferry, Grant, or Okanogan counties in our library service area.
