Planning a visit to your local NCW Libraries Branch? Here’s some things to know before you go:

1. Masks are still required for all patrons age 5 and up.

With the WA State Mask Mandate still in effect, NCW Libraries must require the use of appropriate face coverings for patrons and all NCW Libraries staff members also must wear masks. The WA Department of Health order still applies to individuals who have been fully vaccinated in accordance with the latest recommendations from the CDC.

2. We recommend visits of 30 minutes or less.

While we are excited to open our doors for browsing the shelf, reading the newspaper, or using our print stations, we want to continue to encourage shorter visits that allow many people to cycle through while still limiting our crowd sizes. Think you’ll need a little more time to apply for a job or file your taxes? Call your local branch to see when is the best time for a bit longer stay.

4. Restrooms are closed at most locations.
5. Furniture will be limited in your branch.

In an effort to provide adequate space for social distancing and improve the flow for quick visits, many of our branches have removed furniture or have a limited supply of furniture.

5. Contact your local branch to request curbside service.

Our popular curbside service is still available throughout the week at all of our branches. This is a great contactless option for those patrons who just need to pick up a quick item, or want to limit their exposure to crowds. Call your local branch to find out about curbside hours.

We can’t wait to see you and serve your needs! We thank you in advance for doing your part to help us keep our communities safe.
