Our Mail Order Library will be turning 50 years old next year, and we are so excited about this milestone that we’re starting the celebration a little early!
This month, we are having the first of three art contests to design the covers of the three mail-order catalogs that we will publish next year. The 48-page
catalogs are delivered to thousands of homes in our five-county library district and offer a sampling of the books, audiobooks, and DVDs that we have
in our collection.
This first art contest is just for kids. Anyone aged 12 and under is invited to submit original artwork that fits the broad theme of “Imagination”. Those
submitting their art must live in Chelan, Douglas, Grant, Okanogan or Ferry counties.
The artwork must be turned in by Nov. 30.
The winning artist will have their art published on the cover of one of our catalogs — and receive a Kindle Fire HD6.
