Join us for two workshops in March with Spokane Poet Laureate Mery Smith.

Smith will lead “Joy and Sorrow: A Poetry Workshop” at two library locations:

Quincy Public Library

March 28. 5:30 p.m.

Moses Lake Public Library

March 29. 6 p.m.

Smith will read poems that will be discussed by the group, then she will offer writing exercises for participants. The workshop will explore themes of writing through grief and celebrating who we are.

Anyone is welcome to attend these free workshops. No writing experience is necessary.

Smith began a two-year stint as the Spokane Poet Laureate in January. She lives in Spokane, where she is raising her four sons and works for a catering company.
