Author and science speaker David George Gordon will return to several North Central Regional Library branches next month to talk about Northwest sea serpents and lake monsters.
His presentation on cryptozoology — the study of unexplained creatures — will cover the state of our understanding of local
legendary water serpents, including Ogopogo, the supposed inhabitant of Lake Okanogan in British Columbia, and reports of a sea monster off the Washington
Coast.
He will talk at the following libraries:

- Oroville: 6 p.m. March 12
- Quincy: 4 p.m. March 15
- Republic: 6 p.m. March 11

Gordon toured NCRL libraries last year talking about the mythical Sasquatch. He is the author of The Sasquatch Seeker’s Field Manual and 19 other books
on wildlife and wild places. He has given programs at the Smithsonian Institute, American Museum of Natural History, Yale University and Ripley’s
Believe It or Not! Museums in San Francisco, Hollywood and Times Square.
He has been interviewed by National Geographic, Time magazine, The New York Times, and the Wall Street Journal, and appeared as a guest on Late Night
With Conan O’Brien, The Late Late Show with James Corden, The View, and ABC’s Nightline.
