Over the last several months, teen writers from across North Central Washington have been submitting their original short fiction stories to us as part of the 9th annual write here, right now High School Writers Competition sponsored by NCRL and Write on the River.

We were blown away by the creativity of these stories and want to thank all those who submitted their work for consideration. We are excited to announce that three winners have been selected for the 2020 writing competition.

The sponsor of this annual competition is national bestselling author Chelsea Cain. A champion of student writing, she provided one $100 cash award and two $50 honorable-mention cash awards for the competition.
