The Brewster Public Library will be temporarily closed beginning Wednesday, August 30. The last day of service will be Tuesday, August 29 during normal operating hours.

The Brewster Public Library is the prototype location for our Reimagining Spaces Project. Through the Reimagining Spaces Project, we are working to ensure that all of our libraries are safe, welcoming spaces positioned to serve each of our diverse communities across North Central Washington for years to come. Through the project, we are updating and refreshing the interiors of our library locations. Learn more about the Reimagining Spaces Project.

The temporary closure will allow our team to complete the final stages of the interior refresh at the Brewster Library. Over the last few years, our staff have been working closely with the Brewster Community to reimagine what the Brewster Library could be. Through a series of community engagement events, the following priorities were identified:

– Improved entry to the building and better traffic flows throughout.
– Updated furniture and new seating areas
– Family zone
– Quiet workspace in the building
– Private staff work area
