Reimagining Spaces – Royal City
The Royal City Library serves a diverse and growing population. Thanks to the dedicated vision and hard work of the Friends of the Royal City Library, the library is preparing to enter a new chapter in its long history. The Friends have raised funds to construct a new, 4,000 square foot library, more than quadrupling the size of the current facility. NCW Libraries is partnering with the Friends to gather community feedback and inform the interior design and future programming possibilities of the new space.
Anticipated features of the new library include:
- New flooring and paint throughout
- Increased parking and Improved accessibility
- Community meeting room
- Updated shelving and furniture
- Improved lighting and signage
UPDATE! Throughout the months of October and November we heard from a diverse group of community members at several community events. Our design team will be incorporating all of that feedback into a refresh plan that will respond to the needs and dreams of the community. Stay tuned!
